Team Latitude

We call ourselves Team LATitude, for “Lane,” “Alissa” and “Tim,” respectively. Not that we were required to choose a team name – it just seemed like the right thing to do, given that we’d be working together the whole weekend.

Lane is a Strategic Communications major, and he luckily already had experience with the GoPro camera before we began, giving us an advantage (and a second camera). He usually ends up being the big-idea man of the team, not to mention the motivator, the guy who gets the team excited and moving.

Alissa is a Broadcast major with all sorts of fancy experience being on camera and a range of skills I can barely comprehend. Alissa takes Lane’s outrageous ideas and makes them manageable, with an uncanny camera hand and intuition. While skiing, I would often lose track of Alissa, only to see her crouched around the bend or coming up way behind us to get a shot.

Then there’s me. I’m a Print major, which means I’m the guy who has to take off his shirt in the cold to get a funny shot because I’m rubbish with a camera and my video always comes out slanted. It’s good that this project has a print portion, or else you might have never known I was here at all.
